As difficult as it was for me to type the URL, I did it anyway. Change.gov. Well how's this for change, The Citizens Corp and federally mandated community service starting at age 11.
And what exactly will the penalties be for children that do not fulfill their community service quota? Will a permanent mark be put on their transcript? Will they have to wear a scarlet letter? Will they be unable to move on to the next grade? Or will parents be called out and admonished in some manner? This is infuriating and the idea is such an egregious imposition on our civil liberties that I can't believe for a second something like this would make it to law. But then as I've previously written, this is the foundation of my fears.
